The 2012 Brit Award nominees have been announced, and country's own Lady Antebellum are up for the International Group award, an accolade bagged last year by indie rock outfit Arcade Fire. This year, other acts up for the prestigious award include Fleet Foxes, Foo Fighters, Jay-Z/Kanye West and Maroon 5.

In addition to this coveted nod, Lady A have much to celebrate as they step into 2012. Hillary Scott walked down the aisle with her now husband Chris Tyrrell on Saturday, Jan. 7, and she also recently announced that she's opening a modernized orphanage in Haiti that will house about eight children under the care of a mother and father.

As if one wedding weren't enough, Lady A's Dave Haywood proposed to now fiancee Kelli Cashiola just a few days before Christmas, securing his own place in the marital realm.

The band was also nominated for a 2012 Music Award from Australia's Country Music Channel for International Artist of the Year.

With a slew of awards nominations and love stories, Lady Antebellum are well equipped to jump into another inspired year of writing, touring and performing.
