Lady Antebellum to Perform at Daytona 500 Event
After the whirlwind release of their new single, "You Look Good," Lady Antebellum have announced another new gig. The country music trio are set to perform at the pre-race show before the start of the Daytona 500 on Feb. 26, which serves as the opening race for the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season.
"The Great American Race will have one of today’s great American country music acts front-and-center for our fans to enjoy," Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile says in a press release. "Lady Antebellum continues a long-standing DIS tradition of attracting major stars from the world of entertainment to the World Center of Racing and the Daytona 500."
This won't be the first time the singers have performed at a Daytona 500 event. The group appeared at a pre-race concert in 2008 and in 2016 at the inaugural Country 500 Music Festival alongside fellow country acts including Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Willie Nelson and more.
The new gig is just one of many for the superstar trio in 2017. Lady A recently announced details about their upcoming album, Heart Break, which is due out June 9 and includes their new single, "You Look Good." During a Facebook Live concert on Jan. 19, they debuted a few new tracks from the upcoming project, including the title track and a new song called "Somebody Else's Heart."
The group are also set to embark on the massive You Look Good World Tour that takes them across the United States, kicking off May 26 in Bakersfield, Calif. and continuing through much of the year. The group will additionally head across the globe to six different countries including South Africa, where they'll play for the first time.
