It's about to be much more than 'Just a Kiss' for Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott! Scott, 25, got engaged to boyfriend Chris Tyrell, 24, over the Fourth of July weekend.

The Lady A frontwoman and her lucky man have been dating for a year. The couple first met on Tim McGraw's 2010 Southern Voice Tour, and their whirlwind romance both inspired Lady Antebellum's latest hit, 'Just a Kiss,' and led to a perfect marriage proposal that Scott can't help but gush over.

"Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed," Scott tells PEOPLE. "Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and -- in our workout clothes -- he hit the knee!"

"We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!” Scott says.

While there's no date set for the wedding just yet, it's clear that Scott and Tyrell are just thrilled to be together -- and giddy to be showing off that ring!

In the meantime, Scott is hard at work on tour with her bandmates, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The next Lady Antebellum album, 'Own the Night,' is set to be released on September 13.
