Lainey Wilson Reveals Why She Hasn’t Gone Into a Grocery Store in a Long Time [Exclusive]

Lainey Wilson swears she hasn't set foot in a grocery store in quite some time — but why?

The "Somewhere Over Laredo" singer was a guest on Taste of Country Nights recently, and we asked her if she's a bargain shopper, like, does she cut coupons? Is she a regular at Aldi?

Wilson giggled and responded, "I will say I haven't been grocery shopping in quite a while."

She admits that because her fiancé, Devlin "Duck" Hodges does all of the cooking at their house, he also does all of their grocery shopping.

"He [Duck] does the grocery shopping and he loves to cook, and thank goodness because if it was up to me, we would probably starve," she insists.

She can be frugal though, despite her success.

"I'm not a coupon cutter. I feel like that takes a very organized person, but I do like a deal ... I do like a deal," Wilson says.

She also acts on impulse sometimes, and it's not always for the best. Recently, Duck stopped her from making less-than-wise financial decision: Buying a jet ski. He pointed out that she's never home to ride it.

Of course, the three-time ACM Entertainer of the year isn't slouching around while Hodges grocery shops and cooks. Wilson just released her Whirlwind: Deluxe album on Aug. 22, which includes five new songs.

She also told us that she is already working on her next album that she hopes will come out in early 2026.
