Laura Bell Bundy Gets Recurring Role on ‘Hart of Dixie’
Country singer-Broadway actress blend Laura Bell Bundy has signed to appear on the CW series 'Hart of Dixie.' According to the Huffington Post, Bundy will debut on Oct. 16 in the third episode of the show's upcoming second season.
The versatile performer, whose credits include turns on Broadway in 'Hairspray' and 'Legally Blonde: The Musical,' as well as roles on such popular television shows as 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'Modern Family,' will play Shelby, a potential love interest for George Tucker (played by Scott Porter). Bundy's role is expected to last at least two episodes.
The 'Giddy on Up' singer isn't the only country star to grace 'Hart of Dixie' stage. In Season 1, both Scotty McCreery and Miss Willie Brown made appearances, with McCreery performing his hit single 'The Trouble With Girls' during a particularly heated bar scene.
