Luke Bryan’s ‘Strip It Down’ Becomes His 14th Career No. 1
Congratulations are in order for Luke Bryan. The country singer is celebrating his 14th No. 1 single this week with the success of "Strip It Down."
That's not all Bryan is celebrating, however. Currently, the star is at No. 1 on four Billboard charts, including Country Airplay, Top Country Albums with Kill The Lights, Country Streaming Songs and Hot Country Songs, where he is on top for a fifth week.
"Strip It Down" is Bryan's second No. 1 single from his latest album. The sultry track was written by Bryan, Jon Nite and Ross Copperman and follows the success of the album's first single, "Kick the Dust Up."
According to a press release, Bryan's Kill the Lights is the third largest album debut in all genres so far this year. It comes in third after releases from Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The country singer recently announced a namesake tour (see dates here).
Will Bryan's winning streak continue at the CMA Awards? The singer is nominated for two awards in the major categories, including Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. The 2015 CMA Awards air live from Nashville at 8PM ET on Nov. 4 via ABC.
