Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Split After Less Than a Year of Marriage
Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth have separated after less than a year of marriage.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," Cyrus' representative told People in a statement. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Cyrus posted images on her Instagram on Saturday (Aug. 10) of her vacationing in Italy without her wedding ring on, causing rumors of the break up to circulate.

Cyrus went on vacation to Lake Como in Italy with Brody Jenner's ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter. Carter and Jenner called it quits last week after less than a year of marriage. Cyrus and Carter were spotted kissing by ET on Friday (Aug. 9) at Lake Como.
Carter shared images of her and Cyrus in Italy on her Instagram page. Her ex-husband, Jenner, even left a reply in a since-deleted comment, writing, "Hot girl summer," along with a fire emoji on the image of Carter and Cyrus.
Cyrus and Hemsworth married in December of 2018 in an intimate ceremony with only family and close friends in attendance. The pair originally met on the set of the film The Last Song in 2009, where they played love interests. The couple began dating soon after meeting and got engaged in 2012, which they called off months later. They broke up for three years and resumed dating in 2015.
