Miranda Lambert's non-profit organization, MuttNation Foundation, has donated $150,000 to animal shelters across the United States in honor of the charity's ten-year anniversary.

The grants were given to an animal shelter in each state in the United States.

"Music and rescue animals are the two driving forces in my life and I’m so fortunate that the success I’ve had with my music allows me to help shelter animals more than I dreamed possible," Lambert says in a press release. "MuttNation’s 10-year milestone is amazing and what we’ve been able to accomplish gets better every year. Just in this past year, alone, we helped 1,776 shelter pets find their forever homes."

Lambert and her mother, Bev, founded Muttnation Foundation in 2009. Bev had previously rescued dogs for years, and with the support of her daughter, decided to create a 501c3 non-profit organization whose goal is to promote the adoption of shelter animals, assist with animal transport and help during times of natural disaster. Lambert and her mom currently have 15 rescued pets between them.

Lambert's concerts feature tables with MuttNation Foundation information and donations,  and the non-profit even brings out shelter dogs for adoption during the CMA Music Festival every year. One of MuttNation’s most popular programs, Mutts Across America, was created by Bev in 2015. The program surprises 50 shelters with grants, providing an outstanding and carefully vetted shelter in every state with a MuttNation grant to help them with their daily costs. Since the program's inception, Mutts Across America has supported 250 shelters with more than $750,000, not including these latest grants.
