Miranda Lambert is a busy girl. Not only is she getting married to Blake Shelton on Saturday, she is also headed into the studio this month to work on her new album. Guess that leaves little time for a typical honeymoon!

While chatting with US99, Lambert revealed that she is working on her own new record when the conversation turned to her all-girl country trio, Pistol Annies. "We are going to finish our record and hopefully have our single out in a few weeks, but I am going into studio for myself to write a new Miranda Lambert album in May and I don't want to be rushed, as I have this awesome project," Lambert said.

So new Lambert material is on the horizon, as a solo artist and as a member of Pistol Annies, which features her girlfriends (and fellow songwriters) Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley.

The bride-to-be dished a bit about her upcoming nuptials, too. Some details about the May 14 event were private, but she did say that it will not be a run-of-the-mill, steeped in tradition ceremony! Lambert isn't even thinking about the music for daddy-daughter dance, saying, "I don't even know. We're not super traditional so we may not do regular wedding stuff."

She also admitted that she knew that Shelton was "the one" the day she met him, saying, "He is awesome. We have to so much in common, and we hit it off the first time we had a conversation." Lambert also admitted that dogs are the best form of birth control, since "every time we get a new puppy, we realize, 'Oh God, we're not ready for kids.'"

Well, we're certainly ready for new Miranda Lambert material, be it solo or with Pistol Annies.
