Smoking, drinking, music and men — these are a few of Miranda Lambert's vices. "Vice" is the first new single from Lambert in a year and the first taste of a new album the country superstar is said to be working on. It will be her sixth studio release.

No one will accuse Lambert of playing to the pop-country trend on radio with "Vice." The song kicks off with the crackle of a record player and plays slow, allowing Lambert's voice — and the lyrics she's singing — to stand centerstage. The opening verse is a capella, with music leading in as she utters the words "another vice" for the first time. It's a gritty, raw side of the singer who brought us "Little Red Wagon," and if it's any indication of what's to come from the full-length album, the already-hot Lambert may be showing us her best self yet.

Platinum came out in 2014. Lambert's life has seen valleys and peaks since, including her divorce from Blake Shelton and new relationship with singer-songwriter Anderson East. "Vice" is a co-write between Lambert, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.

Did You Know?: Co-writer Shane McAnally has helped write a number of Lambert hits, including "Smokin' and Drinkin'" and "Mama's Broken Heart."

More About Miranda's Not-So-Secret Vice

Miranda Lambert's "Vice" Lyrics:

“Sting of the needle dropping on a vinyl / Neon singer with a jukebox title / Full of heartbreak / 33-45-78 / When it hurts this good, you gotta play it twice / Another vice

All dressed up in a pretty black label / Sweet salvation on a dining room table / Waiting on me where the numb meets the lonely / It’s gone before it ever melts the ice

Another vice, another call / Another bed I shouldn’t crawl out of at 7AM with shoes in my hand / Said I wouldn’t do it, but I did it again / And I know I’ll be back tomorrow night

I wear a town like a leather jacket / When the new wears off I don’t even pack it / If you need me, I’ll be where my reputation don’t precede me / Maybe I’m addicted to goodbyes

Standing at the sink not looking in the mirror / Don’t know where I am or how I got here / Well the only think that I know how to find / Is another vice/ Another vice / Is another vice”

Chorus:

“Another vice, another call / Another bed I shouldn’t crawl out of at 7AM with shoes in my hand / Said I wouldn’t do it, but I did it again / And I know I’ll be back tomorrow night”
