Rising country singer Morgan Frazier took the stage on The Voice Tuesday night (Oct. 27) to face off against R&B artist Darius Scott in hopes she's earn her spot in the live playoffs. For the high-stakes performance, Frazier chose to sing Eli Young Band’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart."

The song has a special meaning for her, as the artist had an early start in the music business, even having some success in Nashville as a teenager ... before it all fell away. The song's powerful message about the importance of chasing your dreams is close to Frazier’s heart, and it showed through in rehearsals with coach Pharrell and advisor Rihanna.

“You’re like, showin’ Blake what he’s missin’ out on, huh?” Pharrell commented when he heard her sing the song for the first time. Frazier originally started on Blake Shelton’s team but was stolen by Pharrell when she lost the battle round against Emily Ann Roberts.

Rihanna and Pharrell encouraged Frazier to not worry about being perfect, just be herself and connect with the audience. The young singer put their encouragement to good use, pouring her emotion and passion into her official Knockout Rounds performance.

All four judges complimented the honesty of her delivery, but in the end it was Scott’s technical vocal mastery that won out.

Shelton knew he couldn’t lose Frazier twice, so he used his one remaining steal to welcome Frazier back “home” to his team. He noted that this particular situation worked out in his favor last time, having stolen Craig Wayne Boyd back onto his team and winning the whole thing in Season 7.
