Old Dominion Score Sixth No. 1 Single With ‘Hotel Key’
Old Dominion are on the top of the country charts again with their infectious single, "Hotel Key." The song — written by Old Dominion's Matthew Ramsey and Trevor Rosen with Josh Osborne — is at No. 1 on both Billboard's Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck this week.
"Hotel Key" is the band's sixth No. 1 single to date and the third chart-topper from their sophomore album, Happy Endings. Previous hits include "Break Up With Him," "Snapback," "Song for Another Time," "No Such Thing as a Broken Heart" and "Written in the Sand."
The band seem appreciative of their latest hit, sharing their gratitude for country radio and their fans on social media: "We are lucky to have you all and we love you."
Old Dominion recently performed a sold-out show at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The event included surprise guests Kenny Chesney, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Ray and raised $60,000 for charity, with proceeds benefiting the Opry Trust Fund and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
The group is set to launch the fall leg of their Happy Endings World Tour on Oct. 4 in Knoxville, Tenn. The trek will run through December.
While Old Dominion continue their reign on the charts and on the road, they're also hard at work on their third studio album. They've shared several photos from the studio while crafting the follow-up to 2017's Happy Endings. During their performance at Ryman Auditorium earlier this month, they even performed two new songs, "Smooth Sailing" and "Make It Sweet" ("Life is short, so make it sweet," Ramsey sings).
