No. 21: Randy Travis, ‘Forever and Ever, Amen’ – Top 100 Country Songs

By 1987, country fans knew who Randy Travis was, but this song from the hitmaker set his career on fire. Song No. 21 on the Top 100 Country Songs list earned Travis two Grammy Awards, three ACMs and four CMAs. It was also a three week No. 1 single on the country singles chart.

'Forever and Ever, Amen' is as easy of a love song as you'll find. Travis was always the best at turning a few simple emotions into magic, and while he wouldn't reach this level of success again with a single song, he put out a number of great efforts by 2000. The song is still alive on radio today.
