Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus Announces That He’s Having a Boy

Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus and his wife Allison will be adding a baby boy to their family this summer. The singer made the announcement on Twitter yesterday (Feb. 28), just one month after telling fans that they were expecting.

"For those of you asking... Yes, it's true!!! Ali and I are having a baby boy!!! He's due August 1st!!! Whew!!! Gonna have a house full!" DeMarcus tweeted, obviously excited to be welcoming a son. The baby will join older sister Madeline, who will turn 2-years-old on December 17.

The band will be amidst a hectic summer touring schedule when Allison gives birth to the still-to-be-named baby boy. According to the Rascal Flatts website, the band plans to be on the west coast the following weekend, Aug. 3-5. They are currently promoting their forthcoming new album 'Changed,' which hits stores on April 3. The music video for their Top 20 hit 'Banjo' was released on Monday.
