Congratulations to Rascal Flatts' bassist Jay DeMarcus and his lovely wife Allison, as the couple welcomed a new bundle of joy. The couple's new baby -- a son named Dylan Jay, two facts that the musician previously revealed  --  came into the world on Friday afternoon (July 20) at approximately 4PM.

Dad was getting ready for his show in Detroit, Mich. as part of the band's Changed Tour when Allison went into labor at the hospital in Nashville. Like any good expectant father, DeMarcus hopped on a plane and made it back to town in time for the little guy's birth.

Then, like any good entertainer, he jumped back on a plane and made it back to Michigan in time to play for the packed arena... in his hospital scrubs and with an ID bracelet still on his wrist.

"Jay got pregnant," DeMarcus' band mates Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney joked with 99.5 WYCD after news broke that baby Dylan was on his way. "He got up this morning, jumped on our airplane, flew home and had the baby. Now he is flying back for the show. [Jay] woke up in a panic, you know, when his water broke."

Little Dylan is the second child born to Jay and Allison, making their first, Madeline Leigh, a proud big sister. Congrats to the DeMarcus family on the new addition!
