‘Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond’s Pregnant Daughter Burped a Dog, + It’s Hilarious! [Watch]

The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond is set to become a first-time grandmother this winter, by way of her oldest daughter, Alex Drummond Scott, and her husband Mauricio Scott.

The baby news coming from the family so far has heavily featured Alex's golden retriever, George, and in a new social media post, Alex makes it pretty clear that George is front and center during all baby prep.

In the video, she's using her dog to brush up on her mom skills, jokingly patting his back to practice burping a baby. But George takes the joke seriously, and agreeably lets out a loud burp after just a few seconds of patting — much to Alex's surprise and delight.

"George understood the assignment," she writes in the caption.

George also featured in the couple's gender reveal earlier this summer, when they held out a cupcake — containing either blue or pink icing in the middle — for their dog to bite into. But things didn't go quite as smoothly as planned: Before dad-to-be Mauricio could pull the cupcake away, he ate the whole thing, leaving only icing behind.

With a fresh cupcake and a second try, the family — including George — eventually revealed that they're expecting a baby girl.

Alex and Mauricio's first daughter is due to arrive this winter. It's one of several exciting news items out of the Drummond camp: Ree's daughter Paige, who is Alex's younger sister, recently got engaged.
