‘The Voice': Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson Pair for ‘I’ll Name the Dogs’
It's now week two of The Voice Season 13 live shows! One vocalist was sent packing last week, leaving 11 singers to perform solely for viewer's votes, while their respective coaches sat back, watched, and hoped for the best. On Tuesday (Nov. 28), another contestant would be sent home. Before the big revelation of who would be the unlucky one, the show provided a slate of vocally powered entertainment for viewers.
This week, Coaches Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson teamed up for a good-natured and straightforward rendition of his single "I'll Name the Dogs," which proved to (surprisingly) highlight how well the two sound together as duet partners. It also particularly showed off Hudson's vocal flexibility.
“I’ll Name The Dogs” was released in September as the lead single from Shelton’s new album, Texoma Shore. Although some have speculated the tune is about his and girlfriend Gwen Stefani's cozy relationship, it's unlikely, as he didn't write the song.
All of Shelton's team made it through this week. The unlucky contestant sent home was Janice Freeman, from Coach Miley Cyrus's team. Tune in next Monday to see what's next!
