A few of Uncle Kracker's tattoos have clear explanations. He's from Detroit, hence the Olde English "D," and he says he got the atomic symbol for gold (AU) to remind himself to "stay gold." The name "Joe" is in reference to Joe Calleja, a.k.a. Joe C, who was Kid Rock's hype man for years before his death in 2000. Uncle Kracker also got his start with Kid Rock.

It's not immediately clear why Uncle Kracker got the above tattoo of what looks to be a cartoon moonshiner, however. In November 2012 he'll release his new studio album 'Midnight Special' featuring the single 'Nobody's Sad on a Saturday Night.'
