Before country music's biggest stars sit down for the 2016 CMA Awards, they'll need to talk to Taste of Country. For a second straight year we're streaming live from the CMA Awards red carpet, and you can watch here!

Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex is joined by "Someone to Take Your Place" singer Tara Thompson on the red carpet this Nov. 2. Dozens of country stars, television stars and movie stars parade down the carpet before the show begins, wearing their country and non-country best. It's part fashion show, part variety show and part talk show, and we're right in the thick of it.

Thompson is new to hosting red carpets, but she's not intimidated by the thought of talking to her contemporaries ... with one exception. "I don't know what I'm gonna do," she says, imagining meeting Willie Nelson. "Like, jaw dropping to the floor, 'Umm ... can we hang out?'"

The singer's sassy wit will surely keep Alex and the music establishment on their toes. If you're looking for "just another red carpet broadcast," you won't find it here. Taste of Country's YouTube live stream promises to include outsider questions, in addition to stories the east Tennessee native singer shares with whomever she's talking to.

Note: Our CMA Awards live stream launches via YouTube 5:30PM ET on Nov. 2.

The 2016 CMA Awards are the 50th annual, and more country stars than ever will be participating. An already impressive list of legendary and contemporary performers includes Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Alabama, Dierks Bentley and Tim McGraw. Maren Morris, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban lead the nominees, while Urban, Garth Brooks, Underwood, Luke Bryan and Stapleton are up for Entertainer of the Year.
