Colt Ford is putting his big heart to good use next month when he hosts the first-annual Colt Ford and Friends Celebrity Golf Classic in Georgia. The fundraising event is set to take place on Monday, Sept. 24 at Chateau Elan, just outside of Atlanta. Proceeds raised from the event will go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help continue its mission of helping kids who are battling cancer and other deadly diseases by finding cures.

Ford has called on some of his singing pals, including Darius Rucker, Jake Owen, Justin Moore, Jamey Johnson, John Anderson, John Michael Montgomery, Jason Michael Carol, Edwin McCain, Laura Bell Bundy, Wanya Morris and Nate Morris from Boyz II Men and Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels, to help him with the event.

“I could not think of a better way to raise money than playing golf with a group of my good buddies,” says Ford, who is former PGA golfer. “I really wanted to help contribute to the efforts of the amazing doctors, researches and staff at St. Jude. I am thankful for the opportunity to give back to such an outstanding organization.”

Also lending their time to the great cause will be a handful of professional golfers, including Tommy Gainy, Brian Gay, Heath Slocum, Harris English, Brendan Todd, Hudson Swofford, Brian Harmon, Kyle Thomson, William McGirt, Tommy Biershenk, Ken Duke, Scott Brown, Boo Weekley, Matt Bettincourt, Josh Broadaway, Kris Blanks and Sean Cain, as well as Corey Miller and Jeff Foxworthy.
