Jimmy Buffett released his debut album in 1970, but the laid-back entertainer didn't crack the country market until 1977 with his drinking anthem 'Margaritaville.' The tune reached No. 13 on the country charts and fueled the accompanying album, 'Change in Latitudes, Change in Attitudes' to platinum status -- a first for the Mississippi native.

Our choice for the No. 26 entry on the Top 100 Country Songs list instantly became a cult classic, inspiring countless karaoke performances with its singalong lyrics. 'Margaritaville' remained Buffett's only country Top 20 until 'It's Five O'Clock Somewhere,' his 2003 collaboration with Alan Jackson.
