Kane Brown, Marshmello Charm ‘Good Morning America’ With ‘One Thing Right’ + More [Watch]
Kane Brown and Marshmello hit the stage during Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series on Friday (Aug. 30) to treat their fans to a joint performance of their recent collaboration, "One Thing Right," alongside a number of other hits.
Brown took the stage first, and brought a pair of his hits to an excited crowd of fans in New York City's Central Park, sounding slick on "Lose It" while he was smooth and sincere on "Homesick," the crowd keeping the energy up even during the heartfelt ballad.
After performing his fan favorites, Brown brought Marshmello to the stage to join him on "One Thing Right." The crowd was particularly energized during the catchy track that highlights the pop side of Brown's sound with a hint of banjo. Marshmello played guitar while Brown provided suave vocals, the crowd following his lead when he beckoned them to sing the song's title back to him. Watch that performance in the clip above.

The pair also joined forces for a performance of Marshmello's dance hit featuring Bastille, "Happier," Brown sounding like a natural during a performance that featured smoke machines and giant white balloons with Marshmello's face bouncing throughout the elated crowd. And while the two entertained those who attended the show in person, fans were also able to experience it in virtual reality through the MelodyVR app.
Brown and Marshmello dropped the collaboration on "One Thing Right" in June, and Brown shares that it was inspired by his journey and his relationship with his wife, Katelyn Jae.
“It just…tells you everything that I’ve done wrong growing up," he tells Billboard, "and it’s saying that the one thing I did get right was you, talking about my wife.”
The song hit No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Brown and his wife announced in April of 2019 that they're expecting their first child, a girl. They announced in August that they are naming the baby Kingsley.
