Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood Join Forces for ‘The Fighter’ 2017 ACMs
Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood brought tons of talent and spirit to the 2017 ACM Awards stage with a performance of their duet "The Fighter."
Before taking the stage with Underwood, Urban opened the performance with his own trailblazing hit "Blue Ain't Your Color." Dressed in a slick black and white suit, the superstar made his performance that much more dynamic with digital effects that made him appear to be black and white, complete with a black and blue guitar and a navy-hued backdrop to match.
After delivering a soulful rendition of his multi-week chart-topper, Urban kicked off the performance of "The Fighter" with his signature guitar skills, before Underwood joined him onstage during the chorus.
"The Fighter" Overcame Some Major Obstacles
Underwood showed off her always impressive vocals and was looking gorgeous in a silver, tinsel-clad dress. Both stars brought plenty of enthusiasm and vocal ability to the track, getting the audience to its feet with the high-energy tune and wife Nicole Kidman singing along in the crowd. Two dancers could also be seen demonstrating their own impressive moves in the background.
Urban and Underwood are up for some of the show's biggest awards, including Entertainer of the Year where they're joined by Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line. All acts in the category took the stage to open the show with No. 1 hit medley. The "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer is the most nominated act of the night nominated in several categories including Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
