During tonight's (Nov. 1) CMA Awards broadcast in Nashville, Kenny Chesney took the stage wearing black from head-to-toe and belted out his hit ballad, 'Come Over.'

Backed by a seven-piece band Chesney --  who left his guitar at home -- offered up his signature country vocals to this 'Come Over' performance. The award-winning country star didn't include flashing lights, smoke machines or any other special effects during the performance -- it was just him, his band, and the music video playing in the background. Often times, a simple performance goes a lot further than one dotted with distracting effects.

Of course, Chesney's 'Come Over' video is so sexy that he didn't need to add much else to the stage!

In addition to his live performance, the 'Come Over' hitmaker was nominated for Entertainer of the Year. Earlier Thursday, he snagged the award for Musical Event of the Year for his 'Feel Like a Rock Star' duet with Tim McGraw.
