After playing in movie theaters across the country last spring, Kenny Chesney's concert film 'Summer in 3D' arrives on DVD and Blu-ray today. Home theater aficionados can enjoy the show while testing the limits of their audio and video systems with both 2D and 3D versions of the movie.

In what's sure to be a spectacular 3D shot, the film kicks off with Chesney literally soaring above the crowd, seated in a special chair while singing 'Live Those Songs,'and continues with eye-popping images of Chesney and his gigantic band running all over the huge stage set-up, performing all of his biggest hits. The movie was shot at various football stadiums across the country, which provides an ever-changing range of beautiful backdrops and settings, including birds-eye views from the Goodyear blimp.

Throughout the concert, Chesney is always very generous in sharing the spotlight with his band, with guitarists and horn players getting time to shine while roaming the catwalks extended far into the screaming crowds. He's even more grateful and attentive to his fans, thanking them profusely for their support while offering home video clips of his rise to fame, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of his current tour machinery, in between songs.

The DVD features the entire movie as shown in theaters, as well as four bonus songs. The last of these, 'Don't Blink,' is perhaps the most interesting as it shows unedited footage from about a dozen cameras at one time, allowing you to watch different angles and band members performing at the same time.

Chesney, who's currently riding high on the charts with 'Live a Little,' the third single from his 2010 album 'Hemmingway's Whiskey,' has just kicked off his Goin' Coastal Tour, which he has promised will be a leaner, meaner affair than his previous tours.
