Lainey Wilson Is Freezing Her Eggs to Safeguard Her Plans to Become a Mother
Lainey Wilson wants to be a mom one day!
While she hasn't talked about motherhood in interviews, the self-proclaimed dreamer feels it in her heart that one day she will have kids.
Lainey Wilson Is Freezing Her Eggs
In the trailer for her Netflix documentary Keepin' Country Cool, Wilson briefly mentions the lengths she is going to to keep her dreams of being a mom alive.
"I'm gonna freeze my eggs in April," she says in a brief clip. "Put them babies on ice."
The audio runs over a snippet of Wilson in a hospital gown leading viewers to believe that the procedure has already happened.
With the special premiering on Netflix on April 22, 2026 it's likely she had her eggs frozen in April 2025 - or even sooner.
Why Is Lainey Wilson Freezing Her Eggs?
At the age of 33, the "Wildflower and Wild Horses" singer's career is skyrocketing. With tour dates, television appearances, a budding bar and restaurant to run and several other business opportunities all pulling at her, it's rare for her to get time at home to just relax - let alone start a family.
"I feel it in my heart that I was called to be a mama, but sometimes the Lord just has other plans," Wilson says in the documentary trailer.

It's definitely her moment to shine in the genre where she's worked so hard to make a name for herself. While many would say she's an overnight success, she's been hustling in the business for 15 years now. This slow burn is the reason Nashville is called a 10-year town - it takes a decade to get your footing... if you're lucky.
In an interview with People, Wilson shares how the world tries to put you on a timeline for marriage and babies, but she's had her nose to the grindstone with her music since she was 19 years old. And while she's thankful she has so much to show for her hard work, she does have other dreams.
"I also have other dreams too," she tells the publication. "I think I'd make a great mama. And I think there needs to be more people in the world like Duck."
When Is Lainey Wilson Getting Married?
Wilson has another item on the to-do list before welcoming children and that's marrying her fiance Devlin Hodges. The couple got engaged in February 2025 on the front steps of George Jones mansion.
"I don't think that I would be able to navigate this life and everything with anybody else," she says of Hodges in the trailer for her documentary.
