Rascal Flatts released their new album 'Changed' yesterday (April 3) and they celebrated the occasion with a performance on the ratings bonanza known as 'Dancing With the Stars.' It was perfect timing for the trio and an effective way to promote their eighth studio effort.

The country boyband performed the power ballad 'Changed,' appropriately, during the elimination/results episode, while dancers swirled on the wooden floor in front of the stage. For a good four minutes, the Flatts served as the house band for the popular show. They were bathed in blue lights and offered a subdued performance that let the music serve as the perfect accompaniment to the dancing. If they had performed an uptempo number, it would not have had as powerful of an effect. While country music certainly invites plenty of dancing, the Flatts demonstrated that unassailable fact in a whole new way.

For a minute, we secretly hoped that singer Gary LeVox would hop off the stage and grab a dance partner, but alas, it didn't happen. That would have been a nice, unexpected touch. Nevertheless, the Flatts did a wonderful job on 'DWTS,' which is, by the way, in its 14th season -- and still going strong.
