A New York woman has been charged with second degree assault following a confrontation at a recent Rascal Flatts concert. According to the Batavian in western New York, Carolyn Marie Smith was arrested on Wednesday, and arraigned and released on her own recognizance.

Smith was reportedly in the parking lot and allegedly struck another person in the face while holding her iPhone. According to the arrest report, the blow lacerated the victim's face. The 33-year-old Smith had attended the August 12 Rascal Flatts concert in Darien Lake, N.Y.

The incident comes less then three weeks after 50 Brad Paisley fans were arrested during his concert in Darien Lake. On July 23, people ranging in age from 17 to 33 were charge with various offenses including fighting with security guards, resisting arrest, underage drinking and possession of controlled substances. Paisley addressed the arrests by quipping, “Quite a performance in [Darien Lake] Saturday. We also played music" on his Twitter page.

Toby Keith, Eric Church and JT Hodges are scheduled to play the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on September 4. That is the final country show on the venue's schedule this year.
