Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney says that Natasha Bedingfield inspired the band to dress things up quite a bit for the just-released video 'Easy.'

When the U.K. pop icon did a duet with Gary LeVox on the group's single, the bandmates were not only wowed by her vocals but also by her elegant beauty. In fact, Bedingfield inspired them to search for a video storyline that would highlight her style.

"We probably had 30 video treatments [from which to choose]," Rooney tells Taste of Country. "That one really spoke to us [because of] doing the duet with Tash ... It's a very, very dressy video. We've never done anything like it before."

In the Cinderella-style story, Bedingfield wears a beautiful purple gown and goes to a ball where she encounters an old flame, played by LeVox. Although each tries to pretend they are unaffected, they are heartbroken they aren't still together.

"It was really a lot of fun," says Rooney of filming the video at Nashville's famed Schermerhorn Symphony Hall. "We had a great time filming it with Tash and we had a lot of fans come out and some of them are in the video."
