Stompin' Tom Connors was a legend in Canada, but known around the world for his unique foot-stompin' style, uncompromising dedication to his homeland and for 'The Hockey Song.' The 77-year-old died on March 6, leaving friends, fans and fellow country stars in mourning. Connors -- a Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer -- knew his time was ending, so he penned a heartfelt message just days before his death in which he thanked fans for their support and encouraged future genreations to keep spreading the beauty of his homeland.
