Thomas Rhett + Riley Green Rock Out on ‘Half of Me’ at 2022 CMT Awards
Thomas Rhett and Riley Green took the stage of the 2022 CMT Awards looking like they were ready to have a real good time. And the two did just that with their performance of "Half of Me."
It was, in fact, the broadcast premiere of the summer anthem that is currently featured on Rhett's sixth studio album, Where We Started. Sporting Western attire and good old blue jeans, the two certainly seemed to vibe as they sang the song custom-made for any party. And from the looks on their faces, this is a song that these two will sing many times together in the years ahead.
Rhett is doing double duty at the CMT Music Awards, as he's nominated for Male Video of the Year for “Country Again”. And who knows? "Half of Me" just might make it into Green's setlist soon, as the Alabama native heads out on his We Out Here Tour this spring. Green will also join Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn and Luke Combs on the road throughout the year.
The 2022 CMT Music Awards aired live from Nashville on CBS. Kelsea Ballerini, Anthony Mackie and Kane Brown co-hosted the show; Brown was a last-minute addition to that hosting lineup after Ballerini received a positive COVID-19 test and had to re-work her hosting duties so that she could attend from home.
