‘We Love Disney’ Producer Explains How Rascal Flatts, Lucy Hale’s ‘Let It Go’ Came Together
Rascal Flatts and Lucy Hale’s collaboration on “Let It Go” is a highlight from the new We Love Disney album, but it didn’t come easily. The two superstar acts were tasked with turning one of the most well-known songs of the past five years into something fresh. In this behind-the-scenes video, producer David Foster explains what it took.
“It’s a very difficult song to recreate because everybody knows the one version,” Foster says before clips of the country trio and Hale recording the song become the primary focus. Disney helped bring the two acts together.
“It’s just this great fun version of ‘Let It Go’ and it really gets cranking.”
The We Love Disney album was released Oct. 30 and also features a song from Kacey Musgraves. Jessie J, Jason Derulo, Gwen Stefani and Fall Out Boy are a few of the other acts who make up the compilation album. “Let It Go,” the well-known hit from Frozen, steals one's attention.
