Another season of The Voice is coming to an end, but it couldn't wrap without an epic performance from Meghan Linsey and her coach, Blake Shelton. The two joined together for a soulful rendition of a classic Aretha Franklin song on Monday (May 18), and it was amazing.

Linsey and Shelton decided to make the live finale of Season 8 memorable — instead of pulling out a country song like we'd expect, they showed off their soul. They performed Franklin's "Freeway of Love" and surprised the crowd (and probably the other judges), but the biggest surprise was how well they did.

The Voice hopeful has really progressed since she auditioned for the show, and this performance showed off all that she's learned. Shelton knew it was Linsey's time to shine, so he didn't sing it as a full on duet, but instead as a supporter while he strummed a Fender Telecaster. Together, the two country singers smiled and acted playful on the stage.

Linsey also sang "Change My Mind," a new original song, and released the video for it. If she wins the competition, she'll release the song on Republic Records. And if Shelton wants to be this season's winning coach, Linsey is his only hope — she's the last contestant on Team Blake.

The winner of The Voice will be named on Tuesday night (May 19). Luke Bryan will also be debuting his new song, "Kick the Dust Up," during the finale.
