Blake Shelton Lands Two in ‘The Voice’ Top 4, Performs Live [Watch]
Could Blake Shelton come out in first place for yet another season of The Voice? It's not looking too bad for the show's overall top-winning coach, who found himself sitting pretty at the end of Tuesday night's (May 15) episode.
Although Shelton lost one of his contestants—the gritty-voiced Pryor Baird, who sang for his life during the three-person "instant save" but ultimately lost to Team Alicia Keys' Britton Buchanan—he saw two push through to the final four, Kyla Jade and Spensha Baker, making him the coach in the lead.
Shelton no doubt was hoping for a behemoth domination of all three in the finals. However, he certainly has little to complain about (especially since his playful arch-nemesis, Coach Adam Levine, was completely shut out). He also showed off his ability to remain calm under pressure by performing a meditative version of his latest single, "I Lived It," to an appreciative crowd.
Rising country star Kane Brown brought a similarly relaxed vibe earlier in the show, performing his own No. 1 hit, "Heaven."
Will Shelton be the coach with the most yet again this season? The odds are definitely in his favor. We'll be following until the finale next week, so be sure to check back to see who triumphs.
