Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus and Wife Allison Welcome Baby

Jay DeMarcus and his wife, Allison DeMarcus, are now parents. The Rascal Flatts bassist has announced the birth of the couple's first baby, Madeline Leigh. The exciting addition to the DeMarcus family arrived on Friday, Dec. 17.

DeMarcus shared the happy news via Twitter: "It's true! Madeline Leigh DeMarcus was born yesterday at 4:49pm. She weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz... Ali and I are so excited!!!"

The birth of their daughter makes all three Rascal Flatts members fathers. Lead singer Gary LeVox has two daughters, while guitarist Joe Don Rooney is the father of a son and a daughter.

Over the summer, DeMarcus shared his excitement about raising his child with PEOPLE, saying, “I’m most looking forward to making wonderful memories — the first days of school, summertime with them, taking them to Disney World. I’m ready to be a father!”

Besides being a brand-new dad, DeMarcus is keeping busy with his music. Recently, Taste of Country reported that he's at work producing tracks for singer Jennette McCurdy's upcoming album, and that the trio's recording a duet with teen pop sensation Justin Bieber.
