They're a little bit country, he's a little bit teen pop sensation -- but despite their different musical styles, Rascal Flatts and Justin Bieber will come together to record a duet.

The 'What Hurts the Most' hit-making trio shared the news of the collaboration with Nashville radio DJ Gerry House when they appeared on his show on Dec. 14. Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney will head into the studio soon to record their part of the duet, and Bieber will reportedly be in Nashville in the near future to make his contribution. Rascal Flatts said that the song will be a part of an upcoming project for Bieber.

We recently shared the news that Rascal Flatts' DeMarcus will be producing some tracks for Jennette McCurdy's upcoming album -- and this Bieber duet will be another smart move for the country trio to expand their talents to the next generation.
