Lady Antebellum have done it again! The red-hot trio have taken their latest single, 'Just a Kiss,' to the top of the charts. With their latest No. 1 hit, Lady A's grand total has become five chart-topping career singles to date.

Penned by the trio and Peach Picker Dallas Davidson, 'Just a Kiss' quickly broke records for the band upon its release in May. The song debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, marking the highest debut by a country group in the chart’s 52-year history.

"I’m really just riding on their coattails right now," Davidson tells Taste of Country. "They are so big and so hot and so smart, and I love the fact that they picked that song because it fits them as a band. I think that people want to hear stuff like that out of them. It’s fun to be a part of it rising up the charts, first of all because I’ve become friends with them. When we wrote the thing, we were just, like every day, trying to find something to talk about. Then Dave started playing that piano riff, and then Charles and Hillary jumped in and melodies started flying out. I actually had the title, ‘Just a Kiss,’ then we were off to the races. It’s pretty cool."

'Just a Kiss' is the first single from Lady Antebellum's forthcoming third studio album, 'Own the Night,' which is set to hit stores on September 13.

"Seeing country radio and the fans embrace the first single off our new album like this has been amazing and also a little relieving," Lady A’s Charles Kelley says. "There are definitely some nerves and anxiousness involved when you are introducing new music, and this reaction has been beyond what we hoped for.  It just makes us even more excited for September 13 to get here."

The track simultaneously earns platinum certification and spends a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Canada Country chart.
