Country music mourned the loss of Little Jimmy Dickens on Thursday (Jan. 8) during a beautiful ceremony at the Grand Ole Opry.

Brad Paisley, who wasn't just a fan of LJD, but also a good friend, presided over the tribute. In his speech, he celebrated Dickens' great sense of humor, friendly nature and infectious spirit. Vince Gill joined Carrie Underwood to sing 'Go Rest High on That Mountain' in the late Opry staple's memory, while Chris Young, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Greenwood, Marty Stuart and even a few 'Nashville' stars came out to mourn the great loss to country music. People told stories about Dickens' life and sang songs to remember him.
