Some people wait their whole lives to find the person they want to say those two words to: "I do."

In America, to symbolize the union between two souls, you wear a wedding ring on your left ring finger. That ring is supposed to stay on forever as a symbol of your undying love for your partner.

But one man was bummed to realize he lost his wedding ring while helping his wife give birth in an emergency situation.

Rebecca and Danya Mahota were hanging out and realized that Rebecca was going into labor. So, they hopped into the car and headed to the hospital.

They didn't make it.

Danya was documenting the whole experience, panic and all, as they drove, speaking to his unborn baby so that they could one day watch the video and see how they arrived into the world.

"Mama is on the way to the hospital, in a lot of pain, because of you," he tells his baby on the way.

As mama laughs along, she starts to realize that time is not on their side, and that they might not make it to the hospital.

They had to pull over so dad could deliver the baby. Watch below:

After the chaos was over, the video abruptly pans to Rebecca holding their newborn child as they finally head to the hospital, filled with joy and some shock, most likely.

At some point, Danya realized that his wedding ring had slipped off his finger while he was helping his wife give birth.

This is where the story takes an unexpected turn: Danya was certain the ring must have slipped off and landed somewhere on the side of the road where he delivered the couple's child.

Two days after the childbirth, Danya got himself a metal detector and went back to the scene — the side of the highway. Thankfully, he found his ring.

It's not about the value of the ring, it's about the sentiment that it represents.

13 Country Stars Whose Kids We Never See

For every country artist that invites the world to see their kids, there is one who would rather you focus on the back of his head. These 13 country artists are quietly (or in one case, not) private when it comes to their kids. That means very few pictures and short responses if asked about them.
