Miranda Lambert kicked off the new year by announcing her new relationship to the world.

The 32-year-old country superstar confirmed the rumors that have been swirling about her dating singer Anderson East with a photo she posted to Instagram late in the evening on Jan. 1. The pic shows the new couple snuggling together under a blanket on a sofa, wearing yarn caps as if they had been outside in the cold. Lambert captioned the adorable photo, "The snuggle is real."

People magazine has confirmed that Lambert and 27-year-old East, whose real name is Michael Cameron Anderson, are dating.

East released his major label debut album, Delilah, in 2015 via Elektra Records. It was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Dave Cobb. East and Lambert both appear on Cobb's new concept album, Southern Family.

The announcement marks a turning point for Lambert, who has been laying low on the dating front since since she and Blake Shelton shocked the country music world by announcing their divorce in July after four years of marriage. Shelton confirmed he is dating his fellow The Voice coach Gwen Stefani on Nov. 4.

“Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try,” Lambert says in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan.

“I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is," she adds. "I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted."

Lambert is in a good place career-wise, too; she recently landed on Forbes list of the top-earning women in music after raking in $28.5 million in 2015.
