Miranda Lambert Has Goals Outside of Music: ‘I Have So Many Dreams Left’
Miranda Lambert has spent the last 16 years amassing a music career that has won various awards, topped several charts and has received large amounts of critical acclaim for her music. However, the singer revealed to ABC on Nov. 13 that she has goals outside of the music industry.
"I have so many dreams left. I’m starting to set a new set of goals for myself, and more of them are personal now than they ever were, because I was so career-driven early on," she said.
Among those new goals are a Broadway musical—and voicing an animated character.
"I would like to write for a Broadway musical, I think that would be a cool thing that I’ve never done before," she said. "Also maybe a voiceover in a cartoon movie, maybe a little redneck fish in Nemo or something. Whatever they’ll have me do," she said.
As she continues to work on those, Lambert attended the 2019 CMA Awards on Nov. 13 with her husband New York City Policeman Brendan McLoughlin. The couple has been making their red carpet rounds since they wed in January. Lambert was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at last night's ceremony alongside Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves.
While Musgraves took home the trophy, Lambert didn't go home empty-handed, as she gave a fun performance of her song "It All Comes Out in the Wash" from her latest album Wildcard.
Lambert is currently on her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour, with a handful of dates remaining for this year. She will also be embarking on her Wildcard Tour in 2020. Dates and tickets are available on Lambert's official website.
