Miranda Lambert Sympathetic to Eric Church’s Rolling Stone Interview Faux Pas
Miranda Lambert hasn't spoken to Eric Church about his inflammatory comments in a Rolling Stone interview earlier this year. According to the 'Fastest Girl in Town' singer her fellow country superstar has remained mum about his infamous comments.
Although Lambert had once thought Church sould begin "groveling" over his "stupid" comments, it seems as though the reigning ACM & CMA Female Vocalist of the Year has made peace with the comments."I think that anybody can get roped into a really bad interview situation," acknowledges Lambert (quote via Yahoo Music). "I've had things printed about me before that sounded way worse than they were. I know he said what he said. But it died off just like anything else that happens."
"Everybody loves to call it a feud. It's not really a feud," adds the singer "It's just 'Dude, you totally messed up and you know it,' and you move on."
In Church's defense, he did issued an apology of sorts soon after, adding that he does hold a lot of respect for artists like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and “his friend” Lambert, all who got their break in the music industry through reality television competitions.
Despite butting heads over the Church's choice of words, the two country superstars' careers seem to be unaffected. Church claims the No. 1 spot on the country charts this week with 'Springsteen,' while Lambert recently earned her third chart-topper with 'Over You.'
Both singers are currently on the road with their own headlining tours. Lambert continues to tour the country on her On Fire outing, while Church takes his Blood, Sweat & Beers tour on the road with dates scheduled throughout the rest of the year.
