Old Dominion performed "Make It Sweet" at the 2019 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 7) and brought all the carefree vibes.

The group took the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, performing the song to a clapping and enthused audience.

"'Cause I'm stuck on you, you're stuck on me / I never gotta wonder where my honey be / I ain't savin' all my sugar for a Saturday night / Seven days a week I got an appetite  / The sunset's like a tangerine / Let's find a road we've never seen / Don't waste another mile or a minute not kissin' me / Life is short, make it sweet," the group sang.

By the looks on their faces they were already on a high from winning Group of the Year earlier in the evening, beating out Lady Antebellum, Lanco, Little Big Town, and Midland.

Songwriter and producer Shane McAnally presented Old Dominion with the award on the red carpet, just hours after he himself won Songwriter of the Year at the 2019 ACM Awards.

The song follows up their sixth No. 1 single for "Hotel Key." The band shares on their Instagram, "We walked into the studio one day without discussing what we wanted the next step for our band to be. The plan was to write a song and record it on that same day. What happened was something we could never have planned. The words fell out and the next thing we knew, we had recorded 'Make It Sweet.' It’s raw and natural and 100% us. We are so proud and grateful to have the opportunity to share such a meaningful moment with the world."
