Randy Travis has pledged sobriety, and his lawyer says the singer is staying true to his word -- with a little help.

Larry Friedman tells TMZ that Travis is now recording new music and going through treatment for his alcohol addiction. In fact, 2013 is going to be a big year for the hitmaker.

Friedman shares that Travis plans on releasing two new albums before the year finishes. He's healthy and taking control of his life with the assistance of professionals. It's not clear what treatment program the singer is working through, but the TMZ article says nothing about rehab.

The revitalized 'Three Wooden Crosses' hitmake is approaching the anniversary of the day fans first learned he'd taken picked up the bottle once again. It was after Super Bowl Sunday in 2012 that police found Travis drinking in his car outside a church in Texas. Later that year he'd be arrested for DWI and get into a dust-up with a man in a different church parking lot.

Professionally, Travis has continued to tour throughout his struggles. A new studio album would be his first since the 'Anniversary Celebration (2011)' album that paired him with other famous country singers to sing his 25 years worth of hits.
