No. 72: Rascal Flatts, ‘Bless the Broken Road’ – Top 100 Country Songs
Since ‘Bless the Broken Road’ was written in 1994, several different musicians have recorded the song. But nobody did it quite as well as Rascal Flatts. Their 2005 version spent five weeks at the top of the country charts.
This addition to the Top 100 Country Songs won Rascal Flatts a Grammy Award for Best Country Song and went on to earn platinum certification, selling 1 million copies. Since the Flatts took ‘Bless the Broken Road’ to the top, Carrie Underwood has helped to continue the song’s popularity by singing her own version with the trio on ‘American Idol.’
