Rascal Flatts Serve Up Laughs in Playful ‘Yours If You Want It’ Video
Rascal Flatts have released a comedic music video for their new single, "Yours If You Want It."
Shot at the historic Hermitage Cafe in Nashville, the guys play staff members at the restaurant who run rampant in the place. Dressed in diner garb (paper hats and all), lead singer Gary LeVox is annoying customers, singing as he's flipping burgers, while Joe Don Rooney is sure to be violating health codes by using the mop as a make-believe guitar.
Other famous faces also appear in the video, with Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Kristy Swanson portraying Stacie, a waitress at the cafe who falls for Kevin Farley, the brother of the late comedian Chris Farley after he proposes that they "make a life together" when she asks for his final order before she clocks out.
What follows is the story of their love, which includes shots of the two slow dancing in the back of Farley's red pickup truck, front porch swinging and driving out on the open road after he engraves her name in the back of the truck. But it turns all it was all in his imagination when he snaps back to reality and his real-life girlfriend storms in, asking why he's kept her waiting.
The country music trio treated many of Nashville's media members to breakfast at the Hermitage Cafe on Thursday (March 16) where they first premiered the clip, revealing that Oscar-winner Billy Zabka of the Karate Kid directed the music video. The venue itself holds significance for the band, as it was where they shot their first music video in 1999.
“We had a great, great time. It was really cool for us because our first introduction to the world was actually shot sitting right here,” LeVox says.
"Yours If You Want It" is the first single off the group's upcoming album, Back to Us.
