Shania Twain Offering Special Fan Packages of New Album to Benefit Kids
Shania Twain is using her celebrity status to help those less fortunate. Coinciding with the release of her new album, Now, Twain is offering a variety of packages that fans can purchase to benefit her Shania Kids Can charity organization.
The aim of Twain's organization is to "relieve the economic, social and personal sufferings of children that she herself experienced as a child." Fans can help out by purchasing the deluxe edition of the project, along with specialty items including autographed memorabilia and tickets to attend an intimate listening party before the album is released. There are also opportunities to buy some of the icon's legendary costumes and the custom motorcycle from her Las Vegas show, in addition to having dinner with Twain herself in Nashville. Shania Twain Gets Serious at Country Music Hall of Fame Exhibit
The country superstar is set to release Now on Sept. 29, marking her first all-new album release since 2002's Up! Its first single, “Life’s About to Get Good," is currently at country radio. She also revealed the cover art and track lists for both the standard and deluxe editions of the album, with the former featuring 12 songs written by the star herself, while the deluxe version includes four additional tracks.
Twain's 15-year-old son Eja helped her select "Life's About to Get Good" as the album's first single. He “really loved this one particularly, he responded so enthusiastically to it,” she tells Taste of Country Nights. Along with the new single, Twain has also given fans a taste of the new project with a performance of "Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed" on the Today Show and has opened up about how “Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl" is the result of her divorce from ex-husband Robert "Mutt" Lange.
