Miranda Lambert expects to be dateless at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards. Yes, even though she's engaged to fellow country music star Blake Shelton, and despite being nominated for seven awards, Lambert will be sitting next to an empty seat at the Las Vegas-based event.  That's because her fiancee -- who's nominated for a pair of awards -- will be up onstage, co-hosting the event alongside Reba McEntire this year.

"I think I'm going to have to invite the pool boy or something," the country star tells The Boot, laughing and quickly adding, "I'm just kidding. I don't even have a pool boy. Well, I have a pool boy [laughs]. It's his stepdad, so who knows. Maybe he'll be my date."

When it's all said and done, Lambert reflects, "I'm not going to have a date. It's kind of sad. I'll probably just sit next to a random person, a seat-filler."

As previously reported, Lambert is up for more ACM awards than anyone else this year: Entertainer of the Year, Top Female Vocalist, Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Video of the Year (two different nominations, for ‘The House That Built Me' and ‘Only Prettier') and Vocal Event of the Year (for ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter,’ with Loretta Lynn and Sheryl Crow).

When asked if she's nervous about what Shelton will say co-hosting the ACMs, Lambert says, "I'm trying not to ask him and get him all freaked out. I'm a tiny bit worried just because he's kind of a loose cannon and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth, but I know it will be funny."
