This Round 1 battle in a tournament that will decide the best country band of all time pits a group of Texas superstars against three proud and talented kids from Mississippi. The Randy Rogers Band takes on the Band Perry in a fan-voted competition that decides who will move on to Round 2.

The Band Perry are preparing their sophomore album 'Pioneer,' which includes the hit songs 'Better Dig Two' and 'Done.' It's the follow-up to their Platinum-selling, self-titled debut effort which included the mega-hit 'If I Die Young,' a song that made the Top 100 Country Songs of All Time list.

If you're judging this contest by the size of the resume, however, Randy Rogers Band is your group. The Red Dirt country group just enjoyed their highest-charting single on mainstream country charts with 'One More Sad Song,' but they've been hitmakers in their home state of Texas for years. Will the Lone Star State get behind them for this round? They'll need the support of every fan to take down the rising country sibling trio.

Fans decide the winner of every March Bandness round. You’re allowed to vote only once every hour. Any voter found to be outpacing that rule will be deemed ineligible, forfeiting their votes. Voting for the Round 1 matchups will end on Sunday, March 17 at 11:59PT ET. The overall 2013 March Bandness winner will be announced on April 8, the day of the NCAA national championship basketball game.
