A CMA winning country group and country duo have the top two songs on the December 2019 list of the Top 40 Country Songs.

Luke Combs had been rolling, but Old Dominion slipped by him for the top spot this month, thanks to strong sales numbers. Dan + Shay seem on their way for a No. 1 spot in future months. Heck, "10,000 Hours" is so big it could be a multi-week No. 1 in 2020.

Find Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt and Maren Morris among the top songs as well. There's not a lot of brand-new country music on this end-of-year list, mostly because all the biggest artists have tucked their new singles away for the holidays or are waiting for the new year to release new music. Still, there are plenty of A-listers to enjoy, including Carrie Underwood, Eric Church and Luke Bryan.

The list of Top 40 Country Songs of December 2019 is compiled from Billboard chart data and sales figures, in addition to staff opinion and reader feedback.
